Pre-set, with low-melting soldering paste. The rim is versatilely applicable due to the easy handling and the low melting point (350 °C) of the 19 carat gold solder. Especially at hollow jewellery and thin-walled materials, where it was hardly possible to set stones, the Pre-setting soldering rim enables an easy and economic stone facing.

Application of the Pre-setting Soldering Prong:

The workpiece is pre-drilled with a spiral drill to the specified measure. After the setting of the soldering prong, the workpiece is heated up to 350 °C (in the oven or with the flame) for soldering. To achieva an oxide-free and clean soldering spot, flux has to be applied when soldering with an open flame. The soldering prong has to rest completely on the workpiece for soldering.
